Past Due Assignments

  • The Unified Science course will involve the following Arizona Earth Science Standards.  All junior students will earn a full science credit at the end of the year.

    Arizona Earth Science Standards

    1. Essential HS.E1U1.11   Weather and Climate.  Analyze and interpret data to determine how energy from the Sun affects weather patterns and climate.
    2. Essential HS.E1U1.12    Roles of Water in Earth’s Surface Processes.  Develop and use models of the Earth that explains the role of energy and matter in Earth’s constantly changing internal and external systems (geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere).
    3.  Essential HS.E1U1.13     Earth’s Systems.  Evaluate explanations and theories about the role of energy and matter in geologic changes over time.
    4. Essential HS.E1U3.14     Earth and Human Activity.  Engage in argument from evidence about the availability of natural resources, occurrence of natural hazards, changes in climate, and human activity and how they influence each other.
    5. Essential HS.E2U1.15  Earth’s Place in the Universe.  Construct an explanationbased on evidence to illustrate the role of nuclear fusion in the life cycle of a star.
    6. Essential HS.E2U1.16     Earth and the Solar System.  Construct an explanation of how gravitational forces impact the evolution of planetary motion, structure, surfaces, atmospheres, moons, and rings.
    7. Essential HS.E2U1.17     The Universe and it’s Stars.  Construct an explanation of the origin, expansion, and scale of the universe based on astronomical evidence.
