HEALTH EDUCATION
My focus is to adopt and maintain healthy behaviors from the standard-based approach from the health and physical education state standards, which entails skills and functional information (i.e. essential concepts) to help students develop group norms valuing a healthy lifestyle, and showing students to develop the essential skills necessary to adopt, practice, and maintain health-enhancing behaviors. The necessity of physical activity and healthy behaviors needs to continue to increase in our community’s everyday life.
Goal
The ultimate goal of health education is to help students achieve their fullest potential by attaining their highest level of physical, health and wellness as students and adults. Basic to health education is the knowledge of the importance of the interrelationship of physical, behavioral, and social well-being of the prevention of diseases and other health problems. Students should learn to accept responsibility for personal health decisions and practices and work with others to maintain a healthy environment as well as become informed consumers.
