Hello, I am Elizabeth Harper. I grew up in Michigan, and went to college on a swimming scholarship.  While in college I had the opportunity to teach in Ethiopia, Africa where I did 6 weeks of my student teaching. I was able to work with students from many nationalities as it was a school designed to provide education to the teachers’ children. It was an opportunity that opened up the desire to teach in a different culture than my own.  After college I took my first job in Arizona where I met my husband and we have remained. My husband and I are both educators. I am an elementary teacher and my husband is a high school history teacher. We both work for Window Rock USD Currently, I have been teaching for 13 years. I taught 4^th and 5^th grade for 10 years and then took a leave of absence to start a family. I returned to teaching a few years ago and have been teaching Kindergarten. I am currently earning my Masters in Administration Grand Canyon University.
