The goals of the Window Rock Unified
School District No. 8 TITLE VII ADVISORY COMMITTEE is to:
·
Advocate and promote the cultural,
personal, social, and intellectual, leadership development of all
American Indian students of Window Rock Unified School District No. 8
(WRUSD)
·
Affirm the inclusion
of underrepresented populations in the Elementary and Secondary
Education community through collaboration with local represented Tribal
governments.
·
Cultivate a spirit of
partnership between underrepresented populations and the WRUSD
administration.
·
Facilitate education
and training for staff, designed to enhance awareness and participation
of cultural differences.
·
Provide
opportunities for the community to celebrate diversity.
·
Support the WRUSD's goal of maintaining a diverse staff through
recruitment and retention initiatives.
·
Practice and implement Indian
Policies and Procedures (IPP).
