Our goal is
to provide district wide leadership for the Diné
Language and Culture programs and to successfully manage the
district wide Diné
Language and Culture programs funded through the Title VII-Indian
Education and the Johnson O'Malley programs.
Within our
Indian Education programs we have an Indian Education Committee
(under JOM) with members representing the five (5) chapters within
our school district; a Title VII Advisory Committee with
nine (9) members comprised of parent representatives from the six
(6) schools, a secondary student representative, and a teacher
representative within our school district; and five (5) Parent
Educators.
Our Diné
Language and Culture Education Committee serve as an
internal advisory group for the school wide Diné Language and
Culture programs. The Diné Language and Culture Education
Committee discuss and make recommendations for improving and
expanding the existing Diné Language and Culture programs in our
district.
